Informal and non-formal competences matching devise for migrants' employability and active citizenship

Acronym: DAFPIC - Réseau des GRETA de Paris

The Regional office of the French Ministry of Education, manages the GRETA network, which is the first public service in adult continuing training. Since 1973, it has been offering a proximity serve and it covers all the domains of vocational education and training. (244 GRETA – 6500 training centers – 518.000 trainees per year):
  • Skills-assessment and professional project
  • Positioning before entering the training
  • Vocational training in every domain (training in front of the trainer and distant training)
  • More than 600 diplomas from C.A.P to B.T.S (basic level to higher level) and qualifying modules for the major part of the professions (see www.cncp.fr)
  • Providing support in the framework of the Validation of Knowledge acquired through experience (VAE)
  • Providing support for job-integration, job-reconversion, and returning to work.

GRETA network is also developing partnerships outside France. The members notably participate to the conception of Diplomas of common European standards which are implemented in he framework of European training and mobility pathways (Europass).
